City of Austin Mueller Skatepark & Pump Track

The Mueller Skatepark & Pump Track, officially named the Mueller Southeast Greenway Skate Park and Pump Track, had a soft opening on Thursday, August 11, 2022. The official grand opening event was held on Friday, October 21, 2022. 

MUELLER SKATEPARK DESCRIPTION

SPA Skateparks is ecstatic to have been the skatepark construction contractor for the Mueller skatepark and pump track. The skatepark and pump track just north of downtown Austin are part of the Southeast Greenway Park project consisting of 25 acres of parkland restoration and improvements. Catellus Development Corporation is Mueller’s developer, which includes all of its parks. Parks within Mueller, once designed and built become City of Austin public parks for all to enjoy. The Mueller project team includes Catellus, Rvi Planning, Flynn Construction, New Line Skateparks and SPA Skateparks. And what an incredible team it is. SKATEPARK TERRAIN

Mueller is the home of Texas’s first concrete pump track! The skatepark and two pump tracks comprise about half of the roughly 15,000 square feet of skating terrain. The big one is…..big. Branches within the pump track allow a rider to choose which lane to take. Just make sure you’re skating in the direction as indicated by the arrows painted on the concrete. Everybody goes the same direction on a pump track! The second ‘figure 8’ pump track is much smaller and geared more towards beginners and a great place to get started if you’ve never been on a pump track before. The skatepark plaza represents the other half of the skate terrain at the Mueller Skatepark. 

Catellus has done an incredible job by making the Mueller Skatepark an enjoyable place to hang out. It has all the amenities a family would want in a skatepark environment. Yes, you can right at night under the skatepark lighting system! A modern restroom building, water fountain, plenty of parking and a massive, artistic shade structure support the skatepark and its users.

The Mueller skatepark is unsupervised and open to the public. The skatepark rules and hours of operation are posted on site.
