Flatonia Skatepark

In March 2011 SPA Skateparks completed Flatonia Texas’ own skate spot in 7 Acre Park. Although a town of just over a thousand residents, this facility has brought many smiles to local youth and offers another tourist attraction from neighboring Cities. After a public presentation of the concept design and the community’s input, SPA Skateparks is excited to have helped contribute what we believe is the future of small town modern recreational solutions. The design-build skatepark in Flatonia, Texas is an excellent example of how a custom concrete skatepark can be successfully implemented with a smaller budget.

Considered a skate spot, The Flatonia Texas Skate Spot consists of a cross-hatch of pathways, allowing enough space for stair and rail tricks. Landscaped gaps allow for surface draining of rain water are incorporated into a series of bank-to-bank and ledge features. Requiring relatively little earthwork during construction, the design allowed for the maximizing of concrete hard surface and a skate spot the youth of Flatonia and surrounding areas have been raving about.
