Plano Texas Skate Park
The City of Plano, Texas Carpenter Park Skate Park opened to the public on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 9am.
DESCRIPTION
The Carpenter Park Skatepark in Plano, Texas is located just off Coit Road between West Spring Creek Pwky to the South and Legacy Dr to the North. The community-size skatepark has an astonishing range of skatepark terrain and will provide beginners and professionals alike with a wide variety of riding opportunities. The skatepark is complemented with a new shade shelter, skatepark lighting system, additional parking, a nearby restrooms building and an ADA accessible concrete walkway. SPA Skateparks served as the specialized skatepark construction subcontractor as part of the overall Carpenter Park Renovation Project.
SKATEPARK TERRAIN
Plaza Area
An extensive street / plaza skatepark area runs from the parking lot to the middle of Carpenter Park.
- Variety of coping sizes on quarter pipes
- Return banks are positioned runs can start / stop almost anywhere within the park
- Two sets of stairs – one with a London Gap
- Rails, ledges and manual pads galore
- Down-rail option of either round pipe or square tubing
- Multi-level ledge complex
- Roll-in
- Maloof ledge and rail
- Bank-to-bank with gap
- Colored concrete ledge cap detailing
Skate Bowl Complex
One of the largest bowl complexes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
- Pockets of varying depth and radii.
- Shallow end has steel coping. Deep end has concrete pool skatepark coping
- Two waterfall between the three main depths.

HISTORY & MASTER PLAN
The City of Plano’s Carpenter Park Skatepark is part of the overall Carpenter Park Renovation Project, which includes new lights, additional parking, new restrooms, aesthetic improvements to the drainage channel and the addition of four detention ponds.
